Grid Connections Manager - Italy - 12 Month Contract - Solar & BESS - September start - Monday to Friday

I'm looking for a Grid Connection Manager who knows how to get projects connected. Someone who understands how the Italian grid works, has built relationships with the right people and can confidently manage conversations with TSOs, DSOs, EPCs and internal stakeholders to keep projects moving.

Responsibilities

Managing grid connection activities across a portfolio of Solar and BESS projects in Italy.

Building and maintaining relationships with TSOs, DSOs and other key network stakeholders.

Coordinating EPC contractors, Owner's Engineers and network operators throughout project delivery.

Reviewing and approving electrical designs for substations, grid connection assets, protection systems, SCADA and associated HV infrastructure.

Providing technical oversight during construction, supporting the Construction Manager and resolving grid-related technical issues.

Coordinating interfaces between EPCs, HV contractors, civil contractors and protection engineers.

Supporting commissioning activities, factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT) and planned outages where required.





Ensuring grid infrastructure is delivered safely, on programme and in line with technical and quality standards.

Providing grid input during project acquisitions, technical due diligence and throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

Around five years' experience within the renewable energy sector.

Must be based in Italy

Proven experience delivering grid connections in Italy.

Strong understanding of the Italian transmission and distribution network.

Experience working with EPC contractors and network operators.

Fluent Italian and English.

Commercially minded with excellent stakeholder management skills.

Someone who enjoys working across multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Offer

12 month contract

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Hybrid working with flexibility to be based anywhere in Italy.
