Job Summary
TRICARE Beneficiary Services Representative (BSR) FLOATER – Vicenza, Italy. Travel 25–75% of the time across the EA region; supports active‑duty military members and families in the TRICARE Overseas Program (TOP). Salary $34,500 per year.
Responsibilities
- Travel 25–75% of the time to cover multiple sites in the EA region (Bahrain, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Spain, UK).
- Process enrollments, disenrollments, portability transfers, and other actions via the Defense Online Enrollment System (DOES) and MHS Genesis.
- Implement PCM changes according to Military Treatment Facility (MTF) guidelines, including individual and batch updates.
- Provide beneficiary education, enrollment guidance and support over the phone and in‑person.
- Offer basic claim status updates and assistance.
- Lead informational sessions for events such as in/out processing, maternity, and pre‑separation/retirement.
- Collect and record daily activities and other health insurance information into applicable systems.
- Assess and, if needed, refer or escalatie complex issues for resolution.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance, confidentiality, and complete required training courses on time.
- Collaborate with remote support, train new team members, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or Associate’s degree plus 4 years of health‑related experience, or major certification plus 4 years of health‑related experience, or high school diploma plus 8 years of health‑related experience.
- U.S.
citizenship or SOFA/Command‑Sponsored status; must have a Missione Visa and Soggiorno permit.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain ADP IT III clearance (Non‑Sensitive Position, Tier1).
- 3+ years of customer service experience.
- Willingness and ability to travel multiple sites 25–75% of the time.
Essential Skills
- Fluent in English with strong written and oral communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Effective at delivering presentations.
- Ability to communicate tactfully with others, both in person and by phone.
- Self‑starter, able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational, time‑management, and multitasking abilities.
- High attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the TRICARE Overseas Program, Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS), DOES, and MHS Genesis.
- Work background in U.S. military healthcare delivery system or civilian managed care.
- Experience in a medical or clinical environment.
- Experience with MHS Genesis or civilian healthcare systems and medical claims.
