We are looking for a talented Senior DevOps Engineer for a high-impact project starting immediately. If you have full ownership of mission‑critical production environments and thrive on being the technical reference point for complex, mixed infrastructure landscapes, we want to hear from you!
Role Overview
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will operate with full autonomy across a broad technical perimeter, managing CI/CD, Kubernetes infrastructure, and production systems for a mission‑critical environment. You will drive technical decisions, lead Root Cause Analysis, and act as a reference point for junior profiles, while interfacing directly with client and suppliers.
Compensation
RAL 45-60K, commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes (AKS) environments across dev/qa/prod.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines on Azure DevOps, with deploy/promotion across environments.
- Own GitOps secret management and support Git/Bitbucket workflows.
- Support build and packaging for JVM‑based applications (Java, Spring Boot, Tomcat).
- Operate messaging/streaming infrastructure and relational/NoSQL databases.
- Monitor production systems and lead incident/RCA management end‑to‑end.
- Maintain security and quality gates, managing vulnerability remediation.
- Collaborate with developers, the client, and suppliers, ensuring structured communication (weekly SAL, incident reports) and reliability on time‑critical activities (releases, hotfixes).
Required Skills
- Strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes/AKS, Helm, and GitOps practices.
- Solid background in CI/CD with Azure DevOps Pipelines.
- Good knowledge of Azure cloud services (AKS, ACR, networking, storage).
- Experience with Git/Bitbucket workflows and release management.
- Familiarity with JVM‑based application builds (Java, Spring Boot, Maven, Docker, Tomcat).
- Experience with messaging/streaming systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ) and databases (MySQL, MongoDB).
- Knowledge of CDN and reverse proxy management (Akamai, Apache/Traefik).
- Comfortable working in Linux/VM environments, including legacy systems alongside Kubernetes.
- Strong observability skills (Elastic APM, Prometheus, Splunk/Datadog) and experience leading RCA.
- Experience with security/quality tools (Snyk, SonarQube) and vulnerability remediation.
Nice-to-Have
- Terraform / IaC experience.
- AWS messaging services (SNS/SQS/Pinpoint/SES).
- Retail/eyecare domain knowledge (booking, appointments).
