Experteer Overview

In this role you will manage mission‑critical Oracle databases within Generali Group's GOSP context, ensuring high availability, security, and efficient lifecycle management. You will work across international teams to support both operations and transformation initiatives, tackling complex incidents and driving improvements. You will shape database performance, patching, upgrades, and disaster recovery while documenting changes and collaborating with stakeholders. This is a hands‑on, impact‑driven position at the intersection of operations and strategic IT transformation.

- Provide end‑to‑end Level 3 support for complex incidents and escalations
- Administer Oracle databases in enterprise environments (RAC, Data Guard, Exadata, ExaCC)
- Manage patching, upgrades and database lifecycle
- Perform performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Support migration and transformation projects
- Ensure security and vulnerability management compliance
- Meet deadlines and manage priorities in a distributed environment
- Collaborate with international and cross‑functional teams




- Plan and implement changes with documentation and committee approvals
- Maintain technical documentation (procedures, runbooks, etc.)

Responsabilità

- Degree in technical/scientific disciplines (or equivalent)
- Minimum 10 years of Oracle DBA experience
- Experience in enterprise and distributed environments
- Availability for on‑call rotation and night/weekend activities
- International travel within Europe may be required
- English B2 or higher (mandatory)
- Oracle DBA on Linux/AIX (19c+) including RAC
- Oracle DBA on cloud (IaaS) context
- Exadata and ExaCC (physical/virtual)
- RMAN backup & recovery
- Oracle Enterprise Manager (monitoring)
- Oracle Data Guard
- Database capacity, performance and tuning
- Linux/Unix environments
- PostgreSQL, CNPG, Kubernetes DB platform knowledge is a plus
