Overview

In this role you will support AWS Data Centers from design through maintenance, ensuring safe, reliable, and scalable infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive upgrades, capacity, and efficiency at hyper‑scale. You will engage in field work and site assessments to translate design concepts into practical, high‑impact solutions. Responsibilities

- Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers in your region
- Troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, and document corrective actions for site/equipment failures
- Provide ad‑hoc training and review operating procedures for critical equipment and events
- Own conceptual design for data center upgrades to increase capacity, availability, and sustainability
- Collaborate with data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, and EHS teams to maintain standards




- Manage concurrent projects across multiple regions
- Initiate and lead engineering audits, producing risk reports with mitigations
- Serve as resident engineer during new construction projects, supporting construction, commissioning, and turnover

Qualifications
- Experience with mission critical facilities engineering (data centers, power generation, oil & gas)
- Business‑level fluency in written and spoken English
- Willing to travel xysqume between Data Center sites, and internationally if required
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Preferred: knowledge of building codes and regional regulations
- Preferred: experience reading construction drawings and submittals
