About the Role
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Specialist to join our Manufacturing team in Piacenza. This position is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or a professional with 1–2 years of experience who is passionate about engineering, eager to learn, and willing to take ownership in a rapidly evolving organization. The Mechanical Design Specialist will support the technical development of our manufacturing projects, acting as a key interface between Energy Dome's internal teams, external engineering partners and manufacturing operations. The role combines technical coordination, engineering development and product industrialization activities, offering a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the evolution of an innovative energy storage technology.
Responsibilities

- Support the technical development of manufacturing projects and customer orders.
- Collaborate with external engineering partners to develop and review technical documentation and drawings.
- Interface with Energy Dome Engineering and Project teams to ensure alignment with project requirements and technical specifications.
- Support the definition and optimization of manufacturing solutions and product configurations.
- Contribute to product industrialization and continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with R&D; teams on product development and technology improvement initiatives.
- Prepare, review and manage technical documentation, bills of materials and engineering deliverables.
- Develop and modify technical drawings and 3D models when required.
Qualifications

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related disciplines.
- Recent graduate or up to 2 years of professional experience.
Required Skills

- Strong technical curiosity and willingness to learn in a fast‑growing industrial environment.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles and engineering documentation.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple activities and priorities.
- Proficiency in Italian and English.
Preferred Skills
-
- Experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Creo, Solid Edge or similar.
- Ability to create and modify 2D technical drawings using CAD tools such as AutoCAD or equivalent software.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T;), and manufacturing documentation.
- Basic understanding of mechanical components, assemblies and industrial manufacturing processes.
- Exposure to industrial equipment, energy systems, pressure equipment or process plant sectors.
Pay range and compensation package
Permanent, full‑time contract. Competitive compensation package aligned with seniority (indicative base salary: €30,000 – €40,000 gross/year). xysqume
