We are in search of a Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic team and play a key role in advancing our mission. /ph3Key facts /h3pstrongLocation: /strong Rome, NY /ppstrongEngagement: /strong Hybrid /ppstrongTeam: /strong Not specified /ph3What you'll do /h3ulliDesign and implement data infrastructure and platforms leveraging streaming technologies, including Apache Kafka, Flink, and Kafka Streams. /liliDevelop robust Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipelines to facilitate extensive data operations. /liliUtilize software engineering best practices to architect, build, and deploy large-scale streaming applications. /liliCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data solutions into existing systems. /liliMonitor and optimize the performance of data platforms to ensure reliability and efficiency. /liliTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data processing and application performance. /liliContribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies. /liliStay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance our data capabilities. /li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulliAt least 7 years of relevant experience in the software engineering field. /liliDemonstrated expertise in building and managing fault-tolerant, data-intensive platforms using streaming technologies such as Kafka, Pinot, or Flink. /liliKnowledge of large-scale relational and non-relational databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch, to address low-latency requirements.



/liliExperience in data management practices, including ETL processes, data governance, and data storage solutions. /liliProven track record in developing and deploying applications in cloud-native environments. /liliAbility to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to containerized applications in Kubernetes settings. /liliFamiliarity with various package and dependency management tools such as Maven, Gradle, and NPM. /liliStrong grasp of software design principles and architectural patterns. /liliMust achieve Security+ certification within the first 90 days of employment. /li /ulh3Nice to have /h3ulliExperience working with Kubernetes for container orchestration. /liliFamiliarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) and logging solutions (e.g., Fluentbit, Kibana, Loki) in cloud-native environments. /liliSolid understanding of Helm Charts for managing Kubernetes applications. /liliKnowledge of service mesh technologies like Istio. /liliExperience with enterprise-level Cloud applications or infrastructure. /liliProficiency in automation scripting languages such as Python or GoLang. /li /ulpClearance Requirements: /pulliAn active Secret Clearance is required to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. /li /ulpstrongSalary Range: /strong $140,000 - $190,000 /pulliCompensation will be based on the candidate's overall experience, skills, and qualifications. /li /ulpWork Type:
