Our client is looking for a Grid Manager to play a key role in the development and delivery of utility-scale renewable energy projects. This position will focus on managing the electrical infrastructure required to connect Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to the electricity network, ensuring projects progress efficiently from early-stage development through to construction. brLead the assessment and development of grid connection solutions for utility-scale renewable energy projects. brRecommend the most appropriate technical and commercial connection strategy based on project objectives, programme and network constraints. brCoordinate the engineering activities required to progress projects through development, design and grid connection stages. brEnsure technical documentation is accurate, compliant and delivered in line with project milestones. brAct as a key point of contact with Transmission System Operators (TSOs), Distribution System Operators (DSOs), engineering consultants and other third-party stakeholders. brSupport negotiations relating to grid connection agreements and technical requirements. brBuild strong working relationships to facilitate successful project delivery brOversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring schedules, budgets and technical deliverables remain on track. brIdentify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise delays and technical challenges. brProvide regular progress updates and technical reporting to senior management. brPrepare cost estimates and support budget management for electrical infrastructure and connection works.



brReview engineering proposals and technical solutions to ensure value for money while maintaining quality and compliance. brSupport commercial evaluations by providing technical input throughout the project lifecycle. brWork closely with Development, Engineering, Construction, Legal, Commercial and Operations teams to ensure seamless project execution. brSupport project handover into the construction phase and provide ongoing technical guidance during delivery of grid connection works. brExperience: brDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. brMinimum of three years' experience within the renewable energy or electrical infrastructure sector. brExperience delivering grid connection solutions for utility-scale renewable energy projects is highly desirable. brKnowledge of Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) or other grid-connected technologies would be advantageous. brExperience with grid connection processes and electrical network requirements. brAbility to critically review engineering drawings, technical reports and design documentation. brStrong project coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. brEffective communicator with experience working across multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders. brAbility to identify project risks and develop practical mitigation strategies. brProactive, self-motivated and capable of working independently within a fast-paced environment. brIf you have experience in the Renewable Energy industry and are looking for a new role in Europe or UK, reach out to me at s.
