Invest yourself in the alternative, and join an organization where you progress on merit, where you can speak openly with whoever you are speaking to, and where you will be supported along whichever path you choose to take. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liActively contribute to the day-to-day and month-end, quarter-end and year-end books close process (incl. but not limited to recording of accruals/prepaids, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts etc); /li liReviewing bookkeeping entries and closing books and working schedules and reconciliations prepared by the officers /li liInvestigating full balance sheet and profit and loss variances against different benchmarks and providing variance analysis and associated explanations as part of the books closing process; /li liActively supporting the preparation of VAT, tax returns and other regulatory reporting and reviewing of the VAT, tax returns and any other returns prepared by officers; /li liSupervise, mentor and improve junior staff on their day-to-day operational work.



/li liInvolvement in the annual audit process and preparation of the annual financial statements and perform first review of the annual financial statements prepared by the officers /li liCollaborate with external parties as may be required; /li liActively contributing to improvement initiatives, standardization, re-engineering of processes and controls, and implementation of best practices. /li /ul h3Basic Qualifications /h3 ul liMinimum Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or economics; /li li3 to 5 years of relevant experience are required; /li liGood knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) /li liAbility to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-growing and dynamic environment, especially in industries that are undergoing rapid digit transformation. /li liYou are fluent in both English and French; /li liExcellent written and verbal communication skills in French would be an advantage; /li liStrong organizational, multi-tasking skills and strong analytical skills with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation; /li liAbility to check and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail; /li liYou possess team spirit, ability to work in demanding and high-pressure environment, motivation to work well as an individual and as a team and take initiative to act without waiting for direction when appropriate.
