Note - Travel Experience RequiredJOB SUMMARYThe Registered Nurse – Operating Room provides specialized perioperative care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. This role requires expertise in surgical protocols, sterile techniques, and patient safety standards. The nurse collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure efficient and safe operations while delivering compassionate patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare patients for surgical procedures, including assessments and pre-operative educationAssist surgeons and anesthesiologists during operationsMaintain sterile field and enforce infection control protocolsAdminister medications and monitor patient responses during surgeryDocument patient care accurately in EMR systemsProvide post-operative care including monitoring recovery and educating patients/familiesCollaborate with surgical teams to ensure smooth workflow and patient safetyRequired QualificationsAssociate or Bachelor’s degree in NursingActive Registered Nurse (RN) licenseMinimum of 2 years of experience in perioperative or operating room nursingStrong knowledge of surgical protocols, sterile techniques, and patient safety standardsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in specialty surgical units (orthopedic, cardiac, neurosurgery, etc.)Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic or CernerCertificationsBasic Life Support (BLS) certification requiredAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferredCertified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) credential is a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
