By embracing diversity, we believe science can achieve its fullest potential. **THE ROLE** You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where junior and senior scientists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal. The Atomistic Simulations Research Unit is coordinated by_ _Prof. Michele Parrinello.
The research focuses on designing novel physics-informed learning algorithms to study rare events and develop interaction potentials. This includes developing tools to address major global challenges, such as studying catalytic processes under operando conditions to support the transition to a green and sustainable economy. Within the research team, your main responsibilities will be: - investigating open research problems in atomistic simulations and writing research papers and, when appropriate, opensourcing software to allow the community to fully reproduce the results presented in the papers.
- You will also possibly be involved in coaching PhD students and interns. **ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or related disciplines;
- Documented experience in molecular dynamics, enhanced sampling techniques, or machine learning for atomistic simulations.
- Strong publication record
- Good command of spoken and written English **ADDITIONAL SKILLS**
- Experience in programming, with strong proficiency in Python, PyTorch and related frameworks.
- Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
- Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment
- Possess Analytical Reasoning skills and a growth mindset **COMPENSATION PACKAGE**
- A yearly gross salary ranging between 32K and 38K
