About the Role
As a Project Development Manager, you will lead the technical development of photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across Italy. You will assess land potential, optimize technical layouts, manage permitting processes, and coordinate both internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are technically and financially viable. This role combines strong technical expertise with project management skills and offers the chance to contribute to high‐impact renewable energy initiatives.
Responsibilities
Assess land plots for PV and BESS installations in cooperation with Nexun's in‐house GIS department (Vmap).




Prepare project layouts and detailed designs using technical software (AutoCAD, Glint, PVCase) and perform yield calculations (PVSyst) to optimize technical and financial performance.
Manage permitting processes (PAS/AU) up to "Ready to Build" status, including liaising with local authorities and public bodies, coordinating co‐developers and service providers, organizing data rooms, tracking project status, and providing risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
Control project timelines and milestones, providing regular reporting to management.
Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and project alignment across teams.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience managing the development phase of Medium Voltage solar energy projects (PAS/AU).
Hands‐on experience with grid applications and DNO/TSO web portals.
