/ppWe are looking for a highly motivated and well-organized Researcher in Advanced Spatial Modelling of the Built Environment for Climate Adaptation and Resilience, with a background in Building Information Modelling (BIM), Urban Digital Twins (UDT) and climate-informed decision-support systems.
/ppThe ideal candidate has experience in the development and application of modelling frameworks to support climate adaptation, urban regeneration, and resilience planning.
/ppThe position requires expertise in urban and building-scale modelling, scenario analysis, and the assessment of climate risks, vulnerabilities, and adaptation strategies across multiple spatial scales.
/ppThe candidate should demonstrate familiarity with digital representations of the built environment, spatial analysis of buildings and infrastructure systems, and data-driven approaches supporting climate risk and resilience assessments.
Experience in climate risk assessment, urban systems modelling, decision-support tools, and visualization environments for policy and planning applications is considered a plus.

/ph3ROLE /h3pThe Researcher in Advanced Spatial Modelling of the Built Environment for Climate Adaptation and Resilience reports to the REMHI Division Director and is responsible for contribute to the development of advanced modelling and simulation approaches for assessing climate adaptation and resilience in the built environment.
/ppThe role focuses on the design, development, and applications of bspatial and computational modelling frameworks /b to represent buildings, infrastructures, and urban systems, and to evaluate their response to current and future climate stressors.
/ppThe Researcher will contribute to research and innovation activities related to burban environment modelling, scenario analysis, and performance assessment /b, supporting the evaluation of climate risks, vulnerabilities, and the definition of evidence-based adaptation strategies for urban regeneration across multiple spatial scales.
/ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliDevelop and implement Urban Digital Twin frameworks and BIM-enabled workflows for the digital representation, simulation, and monitoring of buildings and infrastructures under climate stressors; /liliLead BIM-GIS interoperability processes, including data conversion, harmonization, and visualization based on open standards (IFC, CityGML, CityJSON, glTF/GLB, 3D Tiles); /liliDevelop and apply methodologies and semi-automated procedures for computing and visualizing indicators and KPIs related to climate resilience, energy performance, urban comfort,



and public space quality; /liliContribute to 2D/3D visualization environments and digital interfaces for comparing baseline and alternative urban regeneration scenarios; /liliCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams across engineering, architecture, urban planning, and digital technologies /li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulliPhD in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related disciplines; /liliProven experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and digital twins for the built environment; /liliSolid understanding of BIM environments and standards (IFC, openBIM, ISO *****); hands-on experience with BIM software such as Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bentley, or BlenderBIM; /liliFamiliarity with Common Data Environments (CDEs), urban digital twin architectures, and BIM-GIS interoperability workflows; /liliFamiliarity with 2D/3D and web visualization technologies (e.g., CesiumJS, Three.js, IfcOpenShell, Speckle) is an asset; /liliExcellent knowledge of English; good communication and teamworking skills /li /ulh3Duration, Compensation Benefits /h3ulliPlease note that this opportunity will be issued both internally and externally /liliThe Managers will be based in Caserta CMCC office /liliThe contract offered for this position will be a Coordinated and Continuous Collaboration contract, starting from October 1st and lasting for 12 months /liliThe gross annual salary range for this position is ***** K Euros.
