ppThe Digital Manufacturing Engineer is part of the Group Manufacturing / Digital Manufacturing Team and is responsible for driving the design, deployment, and governance of digital solutions across multiple manufacturing plants.
/ppThis role requires a strong combination of software engineering fundamentals, manufacturing domain knowledge, and hands on shop floor engagement.
The successful candidate will play a key role in accelerating digital transformation initiatives, enabling data driven decision making, and improving operational performance across the manufacturing footprint.
/ppA significant portion of the role—especially in the initial phase—requires frequent presence at manufacturing sites to support deployment, stabilization, and adoption of digital manufacturing solutions.
The position is highly hands on and involves close collaboration with local operations, quality and IT teams.
/ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliCoordinate and support digital manufacturing initiatives across multiple production plants /liliParticipate in the definition and deployment of digital roadmaps, standards, and KPIs within the manufacturing footprint /liliDesign, develop, and deploy manufacturing-facing digital applications supporting production, quality, maintenance, and logistics processes /liliDefine and implement digital workflows, control plans, and actions especially during new launches or critical operational phases /liliIntegrate digital solutions with manufacturing systems, industrial data sources, and enterprise platforms /liliManage manufacturing data accuracy, consistency,
and availability across responsible systems /liliAnalyze operational and digital KPIs and define action plans to improve efficiency, quality, and responsiveness /liliSupport automation initiatives, including scripting, process automation, and AI-enabled use cases where applicable /liliCollaborate closely with Production, Quality, IT, and Supply Chain to translate operational needs into scalable digital solutions /liliTrain local plant teams and ensure effective knowledge transfer and adoption of deployed solutions /liliPrepare and present digital performance, project status, and improvement results to management /liliDrive continuous improvement initiatives related to digital processes, tools, and ways of working /li /ulpbRequirements /b /pulliBachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Technology, or a related field /liliProven experience (2+ years) in digital manufacturing, manufacturing software, or operational technology roles /liliSolid foundation in IT–OT architecture, with the ability to design digital solutions that connect shop floor systems and enterprise platforms.
/liliExperience developing and integrating digital manufacturing solutions that support production, quality, and operational processes.
/liliUnderstanding of manufacturing data flows and data quality,
across operational and enterprise systems.
/liliAbility to translate manufacturing needs into scalable, reliable digital solutions in collaboration with operations and IT teams.
/liliFamiliarity with cybersecurity, system reliability, and data governance principles in industrial environments.
/liliStrong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills /liliAbility to collaborate effectively with both technical and non technical stakeholders /liliWillingness to travel regularly to manufacturing sites, especially during deployment phases /liliFluency in English and Italian; additional languages are considered a plus /li /ulpbWhy Join us?
