Human Resources (HR) Generalist

BWI Group is a premier chassis supplier that designs and manufactures brake and suspension systems for the automotive market. We are a fast paced, global organization employing some of the best and brightest minds in the industry.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Generalist to support our automotive engineering operations. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day HR functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws, supporting recruitment efforts, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate has experience in manufacturing or engineering environments and excels at building strong relationships with employees and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, orientation, performance management, and offboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and coordinate the recruitment process.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
- Administer employee benefits, leave programs, and HR policies.
- Support employee relations by addressing workplace concerns, conducting investigations,



and recommending appropriate resolutions.
- Coordinate employee training, development, and compliance programs.
- Assist with performance review processes and employee development initiatives.
- Monitor attendance, timekeeping, and workforce scheduling in collaboration with department managers.
- Prepare HR reports and analyze workforce metrics to support business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, labor laws, and company safety policies.
- Support compensation and salary review processes.
- Organize employee engagement activities and promote a positive workplace culture.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of HR experience, preferably in an automotive, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

- Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or equivalent).
- Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or technical teams.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles or automotive industry standards.
