ppbGlobal Application Engineer – Thermal Systems /b – Location: Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy /p h3Job Overview /h3 pVertiv is seeking a highly motivated Global Application Engineer – Thermal Systems to support the development and promotion of the complete Thermal Chain from power generation to heat re?use.
In this role you will support and promote data center reference designs by integrating Thermal Systems with power grid or on?site power generation, and perform project?specific calculations to advance and promote the overall thermal system offering.
/p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDevelop tools and documentation for data center reference designs.
/li liIntegrate thermal system products into data centers connected to the grid or utilizing on?site power generation.
/li liPerform project?specific thermal calculations related to heat recovery from on?site power generation, including integration with absorption and electric chillers.
/li liSupport the integration of new products—such as cold storage systems, absorption chillers, and gas?powered chillers—into the thermal systems portfolio.
/li liDevelop and maintain literature, benchmarks, presentations, and tools to support the promotion of thermal systems.
/li liGather and analyze customer feedback; prepare benchmarking analysis and presentations.
/li liKeep customer?facing offering documentation and marketing collateral up to date, including product literature, list prices, presentations, and sales tools.
/li liCollaborate with product managers to research market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
/li liSupport the collection of customer insights to inform business cases for new products.
/li liPrepare and deliver presentations, product demonstrations, competitive comparisons,



and other sales enablement tools and collateral.
/li liParticipate in customer meetings, product demonstrations, and workshops/training sessions.
/li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liBachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's degree in Mechanical or Energy Engineering preferred.
/li li5+ years of technical experience in product or service roles preferred.
/li liExperience in data center thermal management or HVAC technologies strongly preferred.
/li liStrong technical aptitude to translate customer needs and pain points into effective solutions.
/li liAbility to integrate diverse products into cohesive, solution?oriented systems.
/li liProven skills in problem solving, data analysis, and project management.
/li liExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
/li liStrong customer focus with a commitment to understanding and addressing customer needs.
/li liFluent in English (written and verbal).
/li liProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and other business applications.
