About the Role We are seeking an experienced EHS Lead to oversee all Environmental, Health & Safety activities on a major data centre construction project in Milan, Italy. The successful candidate will lead the implementation of best-in-class safety standards, drive a positive safety culture, and ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation and project requirements. Key Responsibilities * Lead the delivery of the projects Environmental, Health & Safety programme. * Ensure compliance with all relevant EHS legislation, company procedures, and project requirements. * Review and approve risk assessments, method statements, permits to work, and safe systems of work. * Promote and maintain a proactive safety culture across all project teams. * Lead and mentor the site EHS team where applicable. * Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety interventions, ensuring corrective actions are completed. * Deliver safety briefings, inductions, and awareness initiatives to personnel.



* Manage hazardous substances, environmental controls, and associated reporting. * Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventative actions. * Maintain accurate EHS documentation and provide regular reports to senior management. Requirements * Relevant qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety. * Proven experience leading EHS on large-scale construction projects (data centre experience highly desirable). * Previous experience managing and developing an EHS team. * Strong knowledge of EHS legislation, standards, and best practices. * Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. * Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
