About the RoleTechstars is seeking a mid-level IT Engineer to manage the day-to-day operations of our IT function, supporting approximately 150 employees and 50 contractors.
This role is essential to keeping our team productive, secure, and equipped with the tools they need to succeed.You'll be the go-to person for all things IT—from onboarding new team members to troubleshooting technical issues to managing our suite of SaaS applications.
We're looking for someone who can work smart, not just hard: leveraging automation, integrations, and AI to solve problems efficiently and empower our staff through self-service solutions.Compensation$90,000 - $110,000/yr + 10% performance bonusKey ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day IT operations including technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolutionHandle employee onboarding and offboarding, ensuring smooth transitions and proper access managementOversee hardware inventory, deployment, and lifecycle managementAdminister and optimize our SaaS tools including Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, Addigy, JumpCloud, Office 365, Airtable, Salesforce, and JiraBuild and implement automations and integrations to streamline IT processes and reduce manual workPromote and develop self-service resources to empower staff to resolve common issues independentlySupport information security efforts by monitoring and responding to security alertsConduct regular audits of user accounts, permissions,



and access controlsLeverage generative AI tools to enhance efficiency and problem-solvingCollaborate with the Engineering team on cross-functional projects and initiativesRequired Qualifications3-5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration rolesBroad technical knowledge across IT operations, including endpoint management, identity management, SaaS administration, and basic security practicesHands-on experience with multiple platforms from our tech stack (or similar tools)Demonstrated ability to create automations, integrations, or workflows that improve efficiencyStrong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independentlyExperience with user access management and basic information security practicesExcellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiencesPreferred QualificationsExperience working in a startup or fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with AI tools and how to apply them to IT workflowsScripting or light coding experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)Background with MDM solutions like Addigy or similar platformsExperience with SSO and directory services (JumpCloud, Okta, Azure AD, etc.)About Our TeamYou'll be joining a tight-knit Engineering team that values transparency, collaboration, and flexibility over rigid structure.
