You will work inside the Modular Design Section that is in charge of the management of Proposals, Basic Engineering Design up to Detail Engineering Design of Modularized Onshore Projects
Key interaction of the Transport & Installation and Naval Engineer is internally with Project teams, Procurement, Construction and others engineering disciplines; externally with Clients, Yard fabricators Transport Contractors and Marine Warranty Surveyor.
The Transport & Installation and Naval Engineer shall define and manage all the phases of the Land (by SPMT) and Sea Transportation (by Vessel / Barge) activities, including but not exclusive of aspects related to Marine and Load-out activities in close coordination with Project Lead and functional entities.
The Transport & Installation and Naval Engineer shall support the structural design of Modules during Land and Sea transportation, by defining input data to structural engineers.
The role and your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Definition of SPMT layout, including stability check of cargo and ground bearing pressure check
- Design and analysis of mooring systems
- Definition of Vessel motions and sea accelerations on Modules during sea transportation
- Issue and review of technical part of requisitions, bid analysis and Purchase Orders
- Issue and review of naval deliverables (procedures, notes, technical reports) related to Load-out / Load-in phase
- Review of technical documentation issued by Transport Vessel Contractors
- Coordination with Transport Vessel Contractors to manage interface points between Ship and design of Modules
- Coordination with the Marine Warranty Surveyor and interfacing with other parties to ensure the necessary activities related to the load-out, barge transport, off-load, installation of
- Stability, stowage plans,
ballast management and bollard pull calculations for barges and Modules according to DNV requirements.
- Developing concept and detailed lifting arrangements, SPMT layouts, deck layouts and sea-fastenings;
- Grillage and Sea Fastening Design
Compensation
- Annual gross salary ranging from €57,101.60 to €71,377.00, determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications and internal equity.
- Position classified under the relevant Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanico).
