/b /p pWe have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Science Liaison to join Norgine.
The person holding this position will report to the Medical Director and be a member of the Medical Affairs team.
The core responsibility of the Medical Science Liaison is to act as the medical expert for Norgine's products, providing scientific information, answering clinical inquiries, and engaging with healthcare professionals to support patient care.
Additionally, the role involves supporting research initiatives, training internal stakeholders, and offering insights to guide business strategy and product development.
/p pThis will be a permanent role.
/p h3Key Job Requirements /h3 ul liBe the field?based medical expert of drug and therapy for Norgine.
/li liKeep up?to?date with clinical knowledge, published data, and trial work for company products, including attendance at scientific meetings and conferences, and actively communicate insights/new information to the Medical team and brand teams as appropriate.
/li liProvide accurate and non?promotional scientific information relating to licensed and unlicensed products and indications following unsolicited requests from Health Care Professionals.
/li liAnswer medical/technical enquiries from Health Care Professionals by retrieving, evaluating, and presenting high?quality information using in?house and external sources, in a timely manner.
/li liBuild and maintain partnerships with External Experts (EE).
/li liIdentify and map key EEs for potential collaborative projects and develop a plan for how best to engage with EEs and develop long?term relationships.
/li /ul h3Establish contact and build partnerships with External Experts (EEs) /h3 ul liMaintain on?going relationships with national and local EEs.
/li liEngage in a peer?to?peer two?way scientific exchange to support and develop the expertise of the customer in relation to Norgine products and therapy areas, thus supporting patient care.
/li liBecome the preferred source of information on therapy area for the EE.
/li liProvide speaker training and support to Health Care Professionals to maintain knowledge levels within the healthcare community about new therapies developed and commercialised by Norgine.
/li /ul h3Research and Project Support /h3 ul liIdentify and track potential research opportunities that are aligned with Norgine medicine development objectives through facilitating Clinical Research (e.g. non?interventional studies, registries, epidemiology projects, preclinical or translational research) as agreed by Medical TA and relevant Business Unit Heads.
/li liCollaborate with external / internal research colleagues and Medical Advisors, to support clinical sites,
providing feasibility and research site recommendation as required in accordance with guidelines, Norgine Internal Policies, and regulations.
/li liUpon investigator request, liaise between potential researcher and the company on IST (investigator sponsored studies) submissions.
/li liManage the contracting process for ISTs.
/li /ul h3Scientific and Clinical Expert for Sales Force and Other Internal Stakeholders /h3 ul liProvide medical support, training and cross?functional working (i.e. disease state and product) to Norgine colleagues (e.g. sales reps, etc.) as required.
/li liSupport Market Access team activities as necessary.
/li liThrough peer?to?peer two?way scientific exchange, bring insights into the business to support strategy and future product or pipeline development.
/li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liAdvanced degree in a scientific or medical field.
/li liProven experience as an MSL in the pharmaceutical industry is essential.
/li liExperience within Oncology or Rare Diseases is essential.
/li liExcellent communication and presentation skills.
/li liAbility to build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
/li liStrong analytical and problem?solving skills.
/li liAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
/li liWillingness to travel as needed.
