This role provides mechanical engineering expertise in complex automation environments, ensuring projects meet Amazon's safety, timeline, cost, and quality standards.
The Mechanical or Electrical Integration Lead will manage installation crews across North America, collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and operations to implement scalable solutions, resolve technical issues, and deliver high-impact results across large, multi-site programs.Key Job ResponsibilitiesLead installation crews deploying material handling equipment across North American facilitiesLead delivery of complex projects with multi-site impactProvide technical expertise for automation initiatives across assigned sitesImplement technical solutions and lead project level decisionsFollow and help develop technical standards and best practicesWork cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and operations teamsParticipate in technical reviews and drive engineering excellenceImplement scalable solutions across assigned facilitiesRecommend and implement process improvementsCreate and maintain technical documentationDrive achievement of safety, timeline, cost,

This role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate across organizations to drive implementations and improvements across multiple sites.Basic Qualifications5+ years of experience as an industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environmentBachelor's degreeExperience with the project management of technical projectsScheduled travel required 50% of the time; may exceed with short noticePreferred QualificationsKnowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate levelExperience managing third?party vendorsExperience with Six Sigma, lean manufacturingPrior experience managing millwrights, maintenance technicians, fabricators, elevator mechanics, escalator mechanics, pipefitters, or aircraft mechanicsPrior experience working for a material handling integratorPrior experience installing conveyor or sortation systemsAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Salary: $76,600 – $114,900 annually (varies by location).
