Chemistry (Food and Feed Chemistry) Collect, analyse and evaluate scientific data and evidence Contribute to scientific risk assessments and scientific outputs Support the activities of Scientific Panels and Working Groups Develop scientific guidance and methodological documents Manage scientific contracts and procurement procedures Monitor scientific, regulatory and legislative developments Coordinate with European, national and international stakeholders Communicate scientific outputs and make complex science accessible to the public International & dynamic environment Contribute to EFSA Strategy 2027 Values: ethics, transparency, inclusion, diversity What EFSA offers Salary: from € 4.449,31/month + benefits Wide range of leaves and comprehensive welfare package The opportunity to live and work in Parma, Italy— within easy reach of ski resorts, the seaside and the mountains.
Eligibility
Be national of a Member State of the European Union, Iceland or Norway; • Enjoy full rights as a citizen; • Have fulfilled any obligations imposed by laws concerning military service; • Be physically fit to perform the duties linked to the post;[1] • Have a thorough knowledge of one of the EU official languages and a satisfactory knowledge of another EU language; • Meet the character requirements for the duties involved.
Qualifications: A level of education which corresponds to completed university studies of at least three (3) years attested by a diploma. Professional experience in at least one of the following areas:
Chemistry (Food and Feed Chemistry) Experience in writing and reviewing scientific documents such as scientific articles, reports, scientific risk assessment, risk assessment methodology guidance, and theses using appropriate scientific terminology.
Experience in analysing and interpreting data, preferably gained in scientific risk assessment.
