Offer Description

This project examines how households and firms adjust their location choices in response to exogenous shocks, such as pandemics, climate change, geopolitical conflicts, and energy crises, as well as to policy interventions.



The objective is to understand the extent to which these events affect the spatial distribution of population and economic activities.Using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods, the project will identify the effects of such shocks on residential and business location decisions, assessing the mechanisms that drive processes of relocation, spatial concentration, and territorial dispersion. Particular attention will be paid to the heterogeneity of these effects across urban and peripheral areas, as well as across different economic sectors.

Italian or foreign applicants, who have a PhD or equivalent qualification, obtained in Italy or abroad are admitted to selection process. xkiyazw In addition, in the past 5 years, they must have authored, co-authored, or edited a number of publications, accepted texts, essays included in collections, and articles published in print or digital journals equal to or exceeding the minimum required number of 6, excluding internal notes or departmental reports.
