The Role

As Head Accounting and Finance Italy , you will be responsible for the accounting and reporting of our Italian companies and SPVs, supported by external accountants and a small team. In addition, you will lead key treasury functions, including liquidity planning, working capital management, payment operations and relationships with Italian banks.

You will work closely with the Group CFO in financial planning, corporate finance operations, M&A;, divestments and in developing our processes, controls and risk management. In this position, you will leverage your excellent understanding of best practices in corporate finance and the interplay with public administration, accounting and tax regulations in Italy.

Profile Requirements

Qualification and experience

- Qualifications: Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance or equivalent qualifications. Qualification to practise as a chartered accountant (preferred).
- Experience: Over 5–10 years in administration/accounting or corporate finance, including at least 2–5 years in companies within the renewable energy sector (e.g. solar photovoltaic, wind power, hydroelectric)



or in consultancy firms specialising in this sector.

Key Skills

- Financial Reporting: Preparation of annual financial statements (OIC/IAS-IFRS), management of general and cost accounting, and group consolidation.
- Taxation of Renewable Energy: In-depth knowledge of GSE (Energy Services Operator) incentives, net metering schemes, green/white certificates, “Accise” duties and customs requirements. Tax optimization.
- Compliance and Regulation: Monitoring of local and international regulations; management of tax obligations specific to special purpose vehicles (SPVs) developing and operating renewable energy projects.
- Reporting and Monitoring: Regular reporting to senior management and stakeholders, liaising with external auditors and consultants.
- Liquidity planning: implementation and management of the process to provide a regular liquidity planning update.
- Processes: Implement and manage optimized processes in administration and finance.
- Management of invoicing, payments and debt recovery
- Solid understanding of how administration, taxation, and accounting work together in the Italian context.
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with digital tools (MS Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
- Fluent in Italian (native) and English (spoken and written).
