Environmental Health & Safety Advisor – Environmental

Do you want to help ensure a safe and high‐performing work environment? Are you interested in playing a strategic role in Health and Safety within the energy industry? Join our HSE‐Performance Excellence Team and help develop intelligent systems to control and monitor oil and gas extraction.

Job Overview In this role you will govern the Baker Hughes HSE Management System, ensuring robust environmental compliance with ISO 14001/45001, conduct internal and external HSE audits and waste vendor audits, manage remediation projects, support sustainability reporting, analyze water and waste data, provide guidance on energy and water assessments, advise on permitting and regulatory interactions in the Eastern Hemisphere, and lead environmental‐related concerns.

Responsibilities

Govern the Baker Hughes HSE Management System and ensure ISO 14001/45001 compliance.

Conduct internal and external HSE audits.

Manage remediation projects.

Conduct waste vendor management audits and maintain the approved waste audit database.

Support sustainability reporting, projects, and drive improvements.

Review and analyze water and waste data for sustainability reporting and help sites reduce water usage, waste, and increase recycling.

Provide guidance on energy and water assessments.

Consult on permitting processes, reporting, and regulatory interactions within the Eastern Hemisphere.

Lead and manage environmental‐related concerns with external bodies.

Qualifications

10 years of progressive HSE experience or similar leadership experience across global, multi‐site operations,



preferably within the energy, oil & gas, or heavy industry sectors.

Experience in remediation projects is strongly preferred.

Understanding of local and international environmental laws, regulations, and standards.

Ability to read and interpret regulations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proven track record of successful project management.

Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001; internal auditor qualification is preferred.

Good leadership, problem‐solving, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to provide general environmental training to employees.

Fluency in Italian and English; additional language proficiency is an advantage.

Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally.

Pay and Title The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 60,800 to 83,600. The Baker Hughes internal title for this role is: Environmental Health & Safety Advisor – Environmental.
