About the role
Are you passionate about technology and the idea of transforming the way we manage water? We're looking for a Country Business Manager to open and grow our presence in Italy — someone eager to build a market from the ground up and leave their mark on a dynamic project with global reach.
You'll be the face of Spherag in Italy, building the network of distributors and installers that brings our IoT irrigation solution to growers and irrigation communities. It won't always be easy — you'll be building something new — but you'll be doing it with a team that's changing the management of one of our most precious resources: water.

Spherag leads an innovative project at the forefront of Agritech & smart water metering. We combine hardware (IoT – 5G) and software (web, mobile, AI, ML, blockchain, Cloud) to deliver full monitoring and automation of farms and irrigation communities.

What you'll do
- Own the commercial development of the Italian market: define and execute the go-to-market strategy across our verticals — Agro and Water Districts.
- Build and manage a network of local distributors and installers : recruit, onboard, train and support them so they can deploy our solutions successfully.
- Open new accounts and build strong, lasting relationships with clients.
- Create country and account development plans and drive them through to execution to grow the business.
- Present and sell our cutting-edge IoT solutions, tailoring them to the specific needs of growers and irrigation communities.
- Provide excellent ongoing support to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Represent Spherag at trade fairs, exhibitions and events, and deliver product training to partners and distributors.
- Work closely with our internal technical team to align product capabilities with market needs and channel feedback for new functionalities.
What will make you succeed ⭐
- Proven experience in B2B sales / business development, ideally in agtech, irrigation, water or industrial IoT.
- Experience building and managing distributor, installer or channel networks.
- Strong knowledge of the Italian market.
- Native or fluent Italian ; English C1 required ; other languages a plus.
- Proactive, resolutive and hands-on, comfortable making decisions and taking ownership.
- A team player with leadership, drive and a creative, solution-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to travel within Italy. Driving license required.
