ph3Position Summary /h3pSchedule all plant production and manage inventories to meet corporate forecasts and internal and external customer sale requirements in a JIT inventory control environment. /ph3Essential Job Functions /h3ulliAct as the liaison between corporate planning, inter‑plant departments, other Silgan facilities and other customers regarding production planning, analysis of sales forecasts, line loading, JIT inventory control, and the movement of cans or ends. /liliSchedule all plant production and manage inventories to satisfy corporate planning and customer sale requirements. /liliOrder all raw materials—including but not limited to metal, coating, stripe, copper wire, chemicals, inside spray, wash coat, dunnage, etc.—to ensure availability for production. /liliPrepare reports with weekly, rolling 12‑week, and monthly forecasts, line loading, final monthly sales, production, inventory, and work‑order estimates. /liliDevelop and issue daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules. /liliAssist the Office Manager with budget preparation, forecasting, costing of new items, monthly statements, and monthly inventories. /liliSupervise the Shipping/Receiving Coordinator. /liliPerform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager. /li /ulh3Education, Skills, and Experience /h3ulli5 years of production planning experience. /liliBasic knowledge of equipment operation and material flow throughout the plant.
