We are currently seeking a Modeling System Thermal Engineer to join our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy
Vertiv is seeking a thermal engineer to support the development with global thermal system modeling tools. In this role, you will be working with a team of engineers supporting in simulating thermodynamic models of Vertiv's HVAC products to support the global Application and Offering teams.
What kind of work will you be doing?
Develop accurate, high-performance mathematical models for HVAC components (evaporators, condensers, compressors, fans, pumps) using physics-based equations.




Design and implement efficient, stable algorithms to simulate single- and multi-circuit HVAC systems, including chilled-water CRAC units, air-cooled & water-cooled liquid chiller and liquid cooling configurations.
Apply advanced numerical methods to solve complex multi-circuit system schemes with high computational efficiency.
Prepare technical documentation on thermal modeling and analysis.
Utilize primary programming language for modeling tasks like Cadence, FlowNex, MathLAB Simulink, FloMaster, Simscale
What will make you successful?
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on thermodynamics.
Solid understanding of single-phase and two-phase fluid dynamics, refrigerant mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.
Familiarity with numerical methods and iterative approaches for refrigerant circuits and hydronic circuit systems
