By embracing diversity, we believe science can achieve its fullest potential. **THE ROLE** You will be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where junior and senior scientists collaborate, each with their expertise, to carry out a scientific activity with a shared research goal. The Optical Approaches to Brain Function Research Unit is coordinated by _Tommaso Fellin_. The research focuses on understanding the cellular and circuit mechanisms underlying brain function. Within the research team, your main responsibilities will be:



- Preparation of common solutions, genotyping, immunostaining, confocal microscopy acquisitions
- Technical activities within the SPF Facility
- Support with ordering of reagents, consumables and durables
- Technical support with certain laboratory experiments **ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Technical High school Diploma or Bachelor/Master degree in Biology or a similar discipline
- Previous experience as a laboratory technician and certified training are desirable, but not necessary
- Good command of spoken and written English **ADDITIONAL SKILLS**
- Strong problem solving attitude

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary and multicultural environment
- Accuracy and good analytical skills **COMPENSATION PACKAGE**
- A yearly gross salary ranging between 21.000 and 25.000 euros (depending on experience)
