Mission
RINA Consulting – Centro Sviluppo Materiali is searching for a new resource to be introduced as Laboratories Technician for the "Mechanical Testing" Lab crew. The Laboratory performs mechanical tests on specimens or medium/full-scale components or parts of components in their real dimensions, verifying their performance and operating limits, in real conditions of use, or forcing them to destruction to discover their mechanical limits or to characterize the materials (metals, polymers, composites, fibers, fabrics). The Laboratory works in the field of steel, oil & gas, power generation, aerospace & defense, automotive, additive manufacturing, construction and many other sectors. In recent years, the focus on hydrogen has become strong and, as part of the Hydra Project,



which RINA designed with a view to energy transition and decarbonization of the steel production process, mechanical testing in hydrogen has become an object of the laboratory's activities.
Key Accountabilities
- Receiving, label and prepare samples.
- Perform mechanical tests on materials, components, and products according to specified standards and procedures.
- Operate, if necessary, material handling equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes, in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Collect all data and results in specified forms (paper and electronic) with accuracy and responsibility.
- If necessary, perform mechanical testing activities in controlled environments or at low temperatures, utilizing pressure vessels such as autoclaves connected to gas distribution systems, gas cylinders, and cryogenic dewars.
