Electronics Hardware Engineer
for a research-driven robotics startup developing advanced technologies for extreme and mission-critical environments.
The company is currently expanding its Space Division and building systems for future aerospace and orbital applications.
Role Snapshot
You'll own the electronics architecture and hardware development for robotic payloads, taking systems from initial concept through prototyping, testing, qualification, and spacecraft integration.
Your work will contribute to an
in-orbit technology demonstration planned for ****
and help turn early-stage engineering concepts into reliable, flight-ready systems.
The role is based primarily
on site in Pisa, Italy
, with occasional hybrid work possible.
Key Responsibilities
Define and own the
electronics architecture
for robotic payloads, from concept to flight-like implementation
Design
schematics and multilayer PCBs
, prototype, and validate through bring-up, bench testing, and iteration
Develop
power electronics and analog signal conditioning
with a focus on reliability, noise performance, and safety
Select
space-suitable components
, document derating and reliability rationale, and plan for procurement and obsolescence
Lead
integration with spacecraft systems
, interfaces, and GSE,



coordinating with external partners as needed
Plan, execute, and document
verification and validation
, including environmental testing readiness and compliance to relevant standards
