/p pThe successful candidate will be an experienced professional who will support the Head of School in both the strategic planning and the day-to-day management of the Early Years School.
The Head of Early Years will motivate, coordinate and develop the EY staff and resources while strengthening the curriculum offer and the students' growth.
/p h3Key Role and Responsibilities /h3 ul liPromote the philosophy of the school; /li liEnsure pupils' safety and welfare through effective approaches to safeguarding as part of duty of care; /li liCreate a culture where pupils experience a positive and enriching school life; /li liUphold educational standards in order to prepare pupils of all backgrounds for their next phase of education and life; /li liImplement agreed school policies and developments and ensure good day-to-day management of school; /li liEncourage high standards of behavior from pupils, built on rules and routines that are understood by staff and pupils; /li liEnsure a culture of positive praise and rewards are used consistently across every phase of EY; /li liEnsure smooth and effective progression through key transition points, including liaison with the Primary Leadership Team (PLT); /li liMake sure the teaching team works effectively with parents and carers and professionals to identify additional needs and provide support where appropriate; /li liUnder the direction of the Head of School,



identify professional development opportunities for the EY staff; /li liWork closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and leader of well-being to ensure students are supported in a pastoral context; /li liMonitor pupil attendance and ensure it is continuously improving; /li liEffectively communicate the school's key messages and values, be an ambassador for our school at all times; /li liSupport the life of the school beyond the classroom; /li liKeep up to date with developments in education.
/li /ul h3Your profile /h3 ul liDegree in Education (or related field); /li liQualified Teacher Status or international teaching qualification; /li liQualified to teach children of Early Years; /li liMother tongue English is essential; /li liFluency in Italian is desirable but not essential; /li liPrior leadership experience in an international school environment; /li liA positive attitude that inspires staff and students; /li liAbility to lead by example and inspire colleagues to follow; /li liExcellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and mediation skills; /li liGood team builder with leadership skills to oversee progress, guide activities, and steer a team towards achieving objectives; /li liEvidence of commitment to continuous professional development; /li liAbility to work under pressure and prioritize effectively; /li liCommitment to getting the best outcomes for all pupils and promoting the ethos and values of the school; /li liCommitment to safeguarding and equality; /li liCommitment to maintaining confidentiality.
