About the role SumUp is seeking motivated independent sales agents and business scouts to enhance our footprint in the Calabria region. In this role, you will work autonomously, focusing on building relationships with local merchants, restaurants, and professionals by introducing them to our innovative payment solutions. This position emphasizes achieving results through fostering long?term client relationships and generating recurring revenue.

What you'll do
Organize and manage your own daily schedule to visit various local businesses and professionals within your designated territory.
Actively seek out new clients through direct outreach, local networking events, and referrals from existing contacts.
Present and demonstrate SumUp's payment products, clearly articulating their advantages and operational benefits to business owners.
Assist clients through the digital activation process, guiding them from the initial meeting to the successful setup of their payment solutions.
Utilize the Sidekick digital tool to track all sales opportunities and follow?up actions, ensuring no potential client is overlooked.
Cultivate and maintain ongoing relationships with existing clients to drive long?term growth of your portfolio.
When available, manage qualified leads provided by the internal Sales Development Representative (SDR) team to maximize your sales potential.




Collaborate with other team members to share best practices and strategies for effective sales techniques.
Stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings to effectively position SumUp's solutions in the market.
Participate in regular training sessions to enhance your sales skills and product knowledge.
Provide feedback to the SumUp team regarding client needs and market demands to help shape future product offerings.
Requirements
Must possess an active Partita IVA or be willing to establish one prior to commencing work.
Demonstrated experience in direct field sales, particularly in B2B environments, retail, or the HORECA sectors.
Proven ability to independently generate new business opportunities and effectively manage a sales pipeline.
Comfortable using smartphones and various digital business tools to facilitate sales processes.
Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory in Calabria to meet clients and prospects.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse clients.
Nice to have
An existing network of contacts within the local retail or HORECA industries,



which can facilitate quicker client acquisition.
Previous experience in related sectors such as telecommunications, insurance, energy, or digital services that can enhance your sales approach.
Familiarity with payment solutions and technology, providing an edge in client discussions.
Skills & tools
Proficient in using Sidekick (CRM) for customer relationship management.
Knowledge of direct sales methodologies to effectively close deals.
Expertise in territory management to optimize client visits and sales efforts.
Understanding of digital payment solutions and their impact on business operations.
Practical notes
Compensation structure: This role operates on a commission-only basis, meaning there is no fixed salary and no earnings cap.
Earnings potential: Active agents can expect to earn an average of 3,000 to 4,000 Euros gross per month during the initial months; those with established portfolios may exceed 5,000 Euros gross monthly, while top performers can surpass 13,000 Euros gross monthly.
Commission structure: Agents earn a 50 percent direct commission on hardware and software sales, in addition to recurring commissions based on the first year of transaction revenue generated.
Support provided: Initial online training and field shadowing will be available to help you get acclimated to the role and SumUp's offerings.
Important note: This position is not an employment contract and does not include a base salary, emphasizing the commission-based nature of the role.
