Offer Description

The researcher will have to carry out research activities consistent with the declaration of the SSD CHEM 01/A - Analytical Chemistry. The main research activity will focus on cutting-edge topics, including biosensing based on innovative methodological approaches and nanomaterials for diagnostics in various application fields, particularly in medicine for Point-of-Care Testing and in food safety for Point-of-Need Testing, as well as data processing using chemometrics and Machine Learning techniques. This commitment must lead to the publication of excellent results in journals with wide international relevance and to active participation in national and international congresses. The researcher will have to contribute to improve the attractiveness of research funding, also assuming role of principal investigator on competitive calls. Lastly,



the candidate is required to participate in third mission activities, both in "Public Engagement" and in research contracts with external entities. The teaching and student tutorship activities will be aimed at covering courses in the scientific disciplinary sector CHEM-01/A, given in the bachelor and MSc degree courses included in the teaching offer of the Department.
Teaching may include lectures, tutorials, support in any other forms of student instruction, grading and evaluation of papers and evaluation of final exams, on the subjects and topics covered by the contract. Teaching for up to 120 hours is required, according to university regulations.
