The Communications Manager is responsible for the two Belmond properties based in Portofino – Splendido and Splendido Mare – implementing all communications activities and supporting the strategy defined by the Divisional Brand and Marketing Director and the Communications Director.
/p h3Main Duties and Responsibilities /h3 h3Planning, Execution Coordination /h3 ul liYou will work closely with the Divisional Communications team to develop and execute property communication plans that support global and divisional business goals.
/li liYou will be the key point of contact for internal stakeholders and will facilitate communications across teams to inform and generate maximum visibility for all property and divisional activities.
/li /ul h3Media KOLs Relations Events /h3 ul liManage media and KOLs relations and proactively research new contacts to increase the media and KOLs database.
/li liProactively pitch journalists for editorials and single press visits to achieve property press targets and increase brand awareness.
/li liOrganize media trips and coordinate single visits.
/li liDevelop press material (press releases, news updates, etc.), respond to media and agency enquiries and keep the internal media platforms updated.
/li liOrganize and support the creation and production of property events, developing relationships with new partners and curating attendee lists based on targets set.




/li /ul h3Support Social Media Content Creation Strategy /h3 ul liWork closely with the Divisional Social Media Managers to build property communication plans that align across all platforms and ensure new stories and campaigns are effectively communicated.
/li liSupport the Divisional Communication team and Social Media teams with the growth of the brand advocate community – research and develop new relationships with content creators and photographers.
/li liAssist and support the Marketing team as the key reference person on property, supporting with photo shoots and the implementation of Marketing projects.
/li /ul h3Line Management /h3 ul liManage and coach a trainee or Communications Executive with training and career development when available.
/li /ul h3Reporting Analysis /h3 ul liRegularly analyze and report on media coverage, events, initiatives and share successes with key internal stakeholders, through PowerPoint presentations and written reports.
/li liMonitor and manage property performance on media platforms such as Launchmetrics (press) and Lefty (social media).
/li /ul h3Other /h3 ul liDemonstrate knowledge of culture, trends, and competitor activities to inform departmental strategies.
/li liAct as a role model of Belmond's core behaviours.
/li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul li5+ years of public relations / communications experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
/li liHighly organized and methodical,



able to manage multiple projects under pressure, even during peak season.
/li liUnderstanding of and sensibility to luxury hospitality markets.
/li liAbility to foster collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders and disciplines.
/li liImaginative thinker, able to deliver media results through creative storytelling.
/li liExcellent communication skills with strong presentation and writing skills.

/li liHigh energy and enthusiasm.
/li liFluent in Italian and English.
