Specialista Senior / Project Manager

In this role you drive Turbine Control projects within ABB’s Energy Industries, coordinating multi-project engineering work and ensuring safe, on-schedule delivery. You’ll support testing, installation and commissioning, while refining work plans and collaborating with Supply Chain to align supplier activity.

You will prepare technical documents, assess supplier proposals and ensure compliance with safety and contractual requirements. This position offers international commissioning exposure and a direct impact on efficient, cleaner energy systems.

- Coordinate engineering discipline across multiple Turbine projects, supporting testing, installation and commissioning
- Design and run experiments, analyze data, and produce project documents
- Improve work plans in collaboration with other functions
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to define and agree technical requirements with suppliers
- Evaluate supplier proposals for fit‑for‑purpose equipment or services
- Develop and apply standard techniques, procedures and tools




- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and contractual requirements
- Assist in preparing project proposals including Bills of Materials and engineering hours
- Create work plans and cost estimates, and review/approve scope, budget and schedule
- Technical diploma or Degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Steam/Gas Turbine control applications or industrial automation
- Experience with Automation products/solutions in Oil & Gas or Power Generation
- Experience with Automation projects involving Turbine OEMs (a plus)
- Strong background in Automation (DCS, I&C;, and Protection systems)
- Knowledge of ABB Control Systems (a plus)
- General understanding of network engineering and IT/IS, PC handling, Windows, cybersecurity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAD/AUTOCAD, Visio, Excel, Power Point, Adobe
- Customer-focused mindset with strong relationship-building
- Willingness to participate in commissioning activities in Italy and abroad; English and Italian proficiency
