p SYSTEM ENGINEER – ABOUT THE ROLE p At Officina Stellare, we design and develop advanced optical payloads and systems for Space, Scientific Research, Defense and Aerospace applications. /pp We are looking for a System Engineer to lead the development of complex spaceborne optical systems throughout their full lifecycle, from mission analysis and system definition to integration, verification and operational validation. /pp The ideal candidate combines strong systems engineering expertise with a solid understanding of space payload development, being able to manage technical complexity, coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure that mission requirements are effectively translated into system performance. /pp WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO /pulli Translate mission and customer requirements into technical system and payload performance specifications; /lili Lead requirements engineering activities, including definition, allocation, traceability, verification and validation; /lili Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout design, development, integration and qualification phases; /lili Lead system performance analyses and trade-off activities considering mass, power, data budgets, radiometric performance and operational constraints; /lili Support Assembly, Integration and Verification (AIV/AIT) activities and contribute to system performance validation and acceptance campaigns; /lili Develop and maintain system engineering documentation, technical baselines and configuration control throughout the project lifecycle; /lili Prepare and lead major project reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR and AR; /lili Identify, assess and mitigate technical risks through structured risk management processes; /lili Manage technical non-conformances and support Non-Conformance Review Boards (NRB),
ensuring proper implementation of corrective and preventive actions; /lili Contribute to technical proposals and competitive bids in collaboration with engineering, program management and business development teams. /li /ulp YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SYSTEM ENGINEER /pulli Proven experience in the development of space systems, optical payloads, instruments or complex aerospace systems; /lili Experience with requirements management, allocation and traceability tools such as DOORS, Enterprise Architect or equivalent; /lili Demonstrated experience in system-to-payload integration and performance validation activities; /lili Solid understanding of AIV/AIT processes and verification and validation methodologies; /lili Experience in interface engineering across spacecraft, payload and ground segment domains; /lili Strong capability to coordinate technical stakeholders including customers, agencies, prime contractors, suppliers and internal engineering teams; /lili Knowledge of ECSS engineering standards, including ECSS-E-ST-10, ECSS-Q and ECSS-M families; /lili Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. /lili Strong communication and technical leadership capabilities; /li /ulp THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE /pulli Master's Degree in Electronics Engineering or related technical discipline; /lili At least 5 years of experience in System Engineering within the Space sector; /lili Fluent in Italian and English, written and spoken. /li /ulp ADDITIONAL INFORMATION /pulli Location: Sarcedo, Vicenza (Italy); /lili Working time: full time, hybrid as per the internal policy; /lili Agevolazioni: company Gym; /lili Annual Compensation for a senior system engineer: 45.000€ - 55.000€, based on the candidate's experience; /li /ulp While this position is intended for a more senior professional, we welcome applications from junior candidates with a strong educational background and the potential to develop into the role.
