In this role, you will also be part of the Aviation Planning team across the Europe EIMEA Aviation Planning regions, with a primary focus of leading airport planning opportunities and projects in Italy, while also contributing to regional and global initiatives. Our business is growing along with our track record of exceptional aviation projects. /p pThe role will support project delivery in Italy and abroad and will support the business development in Italy and elsewhere, directly reporting to the Italian aviation business lead. /p pWhether working for small regional airports or the world’s largest hubs, we apply the same high calibre of analysis, creativity and strategic thinking, focused on understanding and serving our clients’ needs. /p h3As a Senior Airport Planner At Arup, You Will /h3 ul liLead and participate in the development of airport spatial plans, designs, simulation models /li liUndertake Demand/Capacity Analysis /li liDevelop airport facility requirements /li liManage and deliver tasks and projects in aviation sector /li liBe responsible of project management technical coordination /li liBe responsible of the business development in the field of Airport Planning and Simulation /li liRepresent Arup at internal and external meetings with clients /li liProvide assistance in the preparation of airport master plans, program definition documents, planning studies and reports /li liDevelop, elaborate and evaluate conceptual planning alternative for major elements of airport infrastructure airfield, passenger terminal, cargo, landside access /li liDevelop functional phasing plans. /li liPlan and design airport aprons and airfield for new and existing airports; including related capacity/demand analysis,



master planning, feasibility studies and stakeholder engagement. /li liWork with the Aviation Planning group to augment and refine custom in-house analytical tools and/or develop new planning approaches. /li liCoordinate with other disciplines including Architecture, terminal planning, Fuel, Air Navigation, Airfield ground lighting, buildings engineering, and civil engineering. /li /ul h3Does this role inspire you? /h3 pWe’re looking for someone who is passionate about Project Management for aviation projects; Airfield and apron Planning. /p ul liMaster’s degree level in aviation, planning, engineering or architecture related subject (preferably post‑graduate degree) /li li6‑10 years relevant airport planning experience – including airport and terminal facilities requirements and planning, airport master planning, technical due diligence and a desire to build a long term aviation planning and consultancy career /li liExperience in CAD and graphic platforms such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Revit, including experience with 3D modelling. Being able to work independently /li liExperience in airport operations, airspace and navigation aids /li liGood organisational skills and experience of managing tasks, people and projects /li liStrong and proven track record of delivering robust and high quality analytical work /li liExperienced user of Office Microsoft packages, especially good excel and data analysis skills /li liExcellent understanding of ICAO, EASA and IATA standards and recommended practices is required including experience in their interpretation. /li liExperienced user of Microsoft Office package, with strong presentation skills. /li liVerbal and written fluency in English and Italian is essential. Command of one or more other languages, such as Spanish, is highly desirable. /li liAwareness of today’s aviation industry, including planning, design, construction, financing, operation and regulation of airports. /li liProven ability to lead and manage large scale aviation planning projects to meet project objectives, budgets and schedules /li /ul h3Desirable (not essential)
