Who we are looking for: /strong /pp
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who will support the development and industrialization of Additive Manufacturing projects, combining engineering expertise with cross-functional collaboration. /pp
In this role,
you will work closely with Sales and internal teams to evaluate customer requests, translate technical requirements into feasible solutions, and ensure parts are optimized for LFAM production. /ppbr/ppstrong
Few examples of responsibilities: /strong /pulli
Perform engineering and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) activities on acquired orders for both On-Demand Projects and Technology Benchmarks /lili
Support the Sales department during feasibility studies by analyzing customer files, technical prerequisites, functional requirements and in the development of technical offers /lili
Develop detailed mechanical designs and parametric 3D models, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards /lili
Prepare and manage 2D technical drawings according to industrial standards /lili
Interface with external suppliers and manufacturing partners to validate technical feasibility and alignment with design specifications /lili
Contribute to the definition of Material Process requirements in collaboration with internal teams /lili
Perform CAD and engineering activities to evaluate part printability according to LFAM criteria and prepare designs for production /lili
Interface with Production and Quality teams to ensure smooth project execution and readiness for manufacturing /lili
Draft and maintain complete technical documentation and design records to ensure traceability and industrial readiness /lili
Manage project activities end-to-end, including coordination with Purchasing, Logistics and Administrative functions /li /ulpbr/ppstrong
Ideal Background: /strong /pulli
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a related field /lili2-4 years of experience in Mechanical Design or Design Engineering within a manufacturing environment /lili
Solid understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DfM) principles /lili
Excellent knowledge of CAD tools for solid and parametric modeling /lili
Good knowledge of polymer and plastic materials /lili
Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Italian /lili
Strong interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset and solid problem-solving abilities /li /ulpbr/ppstrong
Nice to have: /strong /pulliCAPM certification /lili
Experience with thermo-mechanical simulations /li /ulpbr/ppstrong
