About the role Eight Sleep is seeking a senior engineer to enhance our distributed systems and scale our product infrastructure. You will manage data pipelines and service communications that connect our hardware, machine learning, and mobile platforms.

What you'll do

- Manage and optimize a data processing pipeline handling 5Tb of data daily.
- Build and maintain automation tools to ensure the reliability of approximately 30 microservices.
- Design and implement backend services and new product features.

Requirements

- Minimum 8 years of professional software engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of specific experience in backend engineering or SRE roles.
- Advanced proficiency in at least two of the following: Java (Scala or Kotlin), C# (or F#) (.NET core), Python, or NodeJS with Type Script.




- Demonstrated expertise in distributed systems architecture.
- Comprehensive knowledge of cloud service environments.
