ph3Mission Analysis Flight Dynamics Engineer /h3 h3About Leaf Space /h3 pLeaf Space is a rapidly growingscale-up companyand aleading provider of ground segment as-a-service (GSaaS) solutions. Our innovative and proprietary concept is focused on providing satellite and launch vehicle connectivity as-a-service, enabling clients to efficiently manage their assets and fully exploit data. OurGSaaSsolutions have been recognized by the market for their efficiency, security, and effectiveness in supporting different applications, from remote sensing to IoT communications. /p h3JOB OVERVIEW /h3 pLeaf Space is developing a satellite-based mesh network and needs a Mission Analysis Flight Dynamics Engineer to convert orbital geometry into operational insight. You'll model how our spacecraft see each other and the ground, quantify network performance throughout the constellation lifecycle, and use that analysis to guide design, deployment, and operations decisions. This hands-on analytical role directly impacts how the network is architected and flown. /p h3RESPONSIBILITIES /h3 ul liAnalyze satellite-to-satellite and satellite-to-ground bvisibilities /b, contact windows, and link geometries across the constellation. /li liSupport mission analysis and flight dynamics activities for the Leaf Line service. /li liModel borbit geometries and dynamics /b - relative motion, phasing, coverage, revisit, and constellation deployment/maintenance strategies. /li liAssess mesh network topology and connectivity over time: routing feasibility, latency, capacity, and resilience as the geometry evolves.

/li liAnalyze ground station network capacity needs and system performance simulations. /li liBuild and maintain simulation and analysis tools; automate recurring studies and produce clear, decision-ready results. Support engineering trade-off studies by providing quantitative mission analysis. /li liWork closely with systems engineering, flight dynamics, and operations to translate mission requirements into analysis and back into design trade-offs. /li /ul h3QUALIFICATIONS AND STUDIES /h3 ul liDegree in aerospace engineering, physics, applied mathematics, or a related field. /li liRoughly 3-5 years of relevant experience in mission analysis, flight dynamics, or space systems. /li /ul h3REQUIREMENTS /h3 h3Tech skills /h3 ul liSolid grounding in orbital mechanics: reference frames, propagation, constellation design, and access/visibility analysis. /li liProgramming for analysis and automation - Python strongly preferred (NumPy, and libraries such as Astropy, Skyfield, poliastro or equivalent). /li liExperience with mission analysis tools (e.g., GMAT, STK/Ansys, FreeFlyer, or similar). /li liAbility to communicate analysis clearly to engineers and decision-makers. /li liFamiliarity with satellite communications, link budgets, or network/routing concepts.

/li liExposure to operational flight dynamics or ground segment. /li /ul h3Soft skills /h3 ul liExcellent cross-functional communication skills to interface effectively with engineering teams, suppliers and management. /li liStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex analyses clearly. /li liRigorous, detail-oriented approach, with a preference for measured/verified data over assumptions, and transparency when prior estimates need correction. /li liComfortable working in a fast-moving, still-maturing product environment, iterating on both architecture and hands-on implementation. /li liFluent English (written and spoken) required, given interaction with external international partners. /li /ul h3WHAT WE OFFER /h3 ul liA flat and collaborative organizational structure /li liA fast-paced and professional environment within a rapidly growing space scale-up /li liChallenging projects with real impact on the global space ecosystem /li liAn international and diverse workplace /li liComprehensive benefits package, including a welfare platform, meal vouchers, a hybrid work policy supporting work-life balance, and training opportunities /li /ul h3COMPENSATION TRANSPARENCY: /h3 ul liReports to: Head of Engineering /li liCareer level: P3 - Experienced Professional /li liJob location: Lomazzo (Como), Italy | Hybrid work model /li liSalary range: 37-50K /li liVariable compensation: 10% on annual gross salary /li liBenefits: Meal vouchers (€8/day) Welfare platform Hybrid working /li liExpected start date: /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
