ppDue to a significant expansion of our client base across Europe, BW is seeking to appoint a Project/Design Manager to assist with the successful delivery of projects. Reporting to Project Director/s and working closely with our in-house Design Leads, the Project/Design manager will be responsible to ensure successful and timely delivery of the Design and to undertake any Project Management related activities. This role is both client facing and internally focused and will require good skills in stakeholder management to ensure that each project is priced and executed in a timely fashion. /p pThe successful candidate will also be required to oversee the management and appointment of third party sub-consultants. /p h3Duties Responsibilities: /h3 ul liServe as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, providing clear and timely communication on project status, risks, and changes. /li liDevelop a deep understanding of the project requirements, objectives, and deliverables, using this knowledge to drive project planning and execution. /li liCreate detailed project plans, work-pack schedules, and timelines to ensure efficient and successful delivery of all project elements. /li liProactively identify and manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, escalating as necessary to ensure timely resolution, in collaboration with the Design Leads. /li liManage day-to-day project activities, including but not limited to scope, budget, resources, quality, and schedule meetings. /li liCollaborate with cross-functional teams, both internally and externally, to deliver high-quality project outputs. /li liEffectively utilise project management tools and methodologies to plan, track, and report to the client and Project Director on project/design progress /li liPrepare and deliver presentations to project sponsors, steering committees, and other key stakeholders.



/li liManage change requests and ensure all impacted parties are kept up-to-date on approved changes. /li liConduct post-project reviews to document successes, lessons learned, and areas for improvement. /li liMaintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices. /li liContinuously develop personal and professional skillset through active participation in relevant training and development opportunities. /li /ul h3Skills: /h3 pCommunication: Need to be able to convey information to your team members and clients in a clear and concise manner. You also need to be able to listen to feedback and answer questions from team members and clients. /p pOrganisation: Whilst the generation and distribution of information will be the responsibility of our in house design teams and document controllers, the Project/Design Manager will need to ensure the information is distributed according to agreed timescales and manage stakeholder expectations where dates are at risk. Having strong organisational skills can help you keep track of all the information you need to manage effectively. /p pTime management: Time management is another crucial skill for project managers. They often have multiple projects they’re working on at the same time, so need to be able to manage their time efficiently. This means they need to be able to prioritise tasks and manage their time well so they can complete all their work. /p pProblem-solving:



Problem-solving skills allow you to identify issues and develop solutions to overcome them. As a project/design manager, you may be responsible for resolving any challenges that arise during the project. Your problem-solving skills can help you identify the source of the issue and communicate a plan to resolve it. /p pLeadership: Leadership skills can help you motivate your team and encourage them to work together to meet project deadlines. As a project/design manager, you can use your leadership skills to collaborate with the Design Leads and help the team work efficiently and effectively. You can also use leadership skills to help your team work through challenges and overcome obstacles. /p h3About you /h3 ul liMinimum of 10 years’ experience working within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) industry. /li liProven experience as a Project Manager and/or Design Manager on international and multidisciplinary projects.
