And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion. /p pWe are looking for Data Center Technicians to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Data Center Technicians are the primary resolver and troubleshoot and solve a range of datacenter infrastructure issues including, but not limited to: hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems. You will be part of the Data Center Operations (DCO) team, overseeing the operation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and hardware for data centers in AWS Cloud regions. You will become the primary resolver for your support team, and gain troubleshooting skills on different hardware and software cases. You will be able to troubleshoot and solve most infrastructure issues and engage other appropriate solutions groups on more complex problems to drive solutions. /p h3Key job responsibilities /h3 ul liSHIFT WORK /li liSome of the roles within this organization are shift-based hence readiness availability to work rotating shifts is required for this position. /li liSAFETY /li liFollow and maintain the highest safety standards and diligently encourage a world‑class safety culture. Own the safety initiatives and projects to foster a strong safety culture. /li liDATA CENTER OPERATIONS (DCO) /li liThis position involves: /li ul liDiagnosing hardware and network problems followed by physical repairs /li liTroubleshooting events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs) /li liPerforming root cause analysis of equipment failures /li liManual handling and lifting of equipment may be required (weight limits in accordance with regulations) /li lipossibility to work rotating shifts (morning/late/night) as well as weekends to maintain the 24/7 data center environment /li /ul /ul pLocal travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
A valid in Italy driving license is required as Data Centers may not have any public transportation available nearby. /p pLocation Requirements:br/Our data centers are located in remote areas outside Milan, where access via public transport may be limited. Therefore, a valid EU driving license is required for this role. /p pWork Schedule:br/This is a 100% onsite in-person position due to the hands‑on nature of managing mission‑critical infrastructure. /p pThe applicable collective agreement for this role is CBA for employees of Telecommunication Sector. The position is classified at level 5 or above, depending on the candidate’s skills, competences and experience. /p pThe minimum gross annual base salary for this position is listed below. The base salary listed corresponds to working on a full‑time basis. For part‑time hours, the salary will be pro‑rated. /p pAmazon reserves the right to offer a higher salary and/or level, depending on the candidate’s skills, competencies, and experience.
