This position requires a passion for working with teens ages 14-17 in a residential setting. The role is to supervise the dorms and boarding students in the evenings and on weekends. The goal of the pastoral tutor is to help to create a supportive community in the dorms by focusing primarily on the wellbeing of the residential students. Pastoral tutors reinforce safety and order within their dorm, mentor boarders as they adjust to and manage independent living, support academic progress and personal growth, and promote a positive atmosphere.

- Bachelor Degree in Education or related field
- Minimum of 1 year of teaching or pastoral experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to provide guidance and support to students living on campus

- Commitment to fostering a supportive residential community environment
- Willingness to engage with students outside of regular school hours
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a multicultural settingGeneral Responsibilities: - An average of 38 hours per week is expected while school is in session (late August to mid-June)
- Weeknight duties: On duty for dorm supervision three evenings per week 6 pm-11:30 pm Sunday through Thursday;
- Weekend duties: On duty each weekend for an average of 20 hours total, with hours distributed from Friday evening to Sunday evening;
- Flexibility to offer additional support for orientation duties, accompaniment to appointments and other residential duties is required. Background in the following areas are preferred: - Educational settings, Residential settings and Pastoral care;
