Bozen/Bolzano Institute for Biomedicine Short description of the position:
The Institute for Biomedicine at Eurac Research is seeking a highly motivated researcher to join the Biomedical Informatics Group. **Tasks**: - Preparation and consolidation of the data sets.
- Exploratory data analysis.
- Statistical data analysis to identify associations between medication or season on abundances of circulating proteins and metabolites.
- Determine the largest external influence factors on circulating protein concentrations.
- Dissemination of scientific results through conference contributions and scientific publications. **Requirements**: - PhD in a relevant field of research (Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or Computational Biology).
- Experience in the analysis of quantitative omics data, preferentially proteomics or metabolomics.
- Extensive experience in data analysis with R and/or Python.
- Experience in reproducible research.
- Knowledge in statistical data modeling and multiple regression analysis.
- Proactivity and the ability to solve problems independently.
- Ability to work in a distributed, multidisciplinary research environment.
