**About the Role**
We are looking for a Junior General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover).This is a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to gain hands-on experience in general accounting within a structured and collaborative environment. You will support the accurate management of general ledger activities, ensuring data accuracy, reconciliations, and timely support during monthly and yearly closings. The role offers exposure to core accounting processes and close collaboration with Finance colleagues and other business functions. Key responsibilities include: - Performing and reviewing intercompany reconciliations,



identifying and resolving discrepancies in coordination with internal counterparts - Monitoring and closing bank clearing and suspense accounts, in line with internal procedures - Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, including cut-off processes - Recording personnel cost entries (salaries, social security contributions, severance accruals and related charges) and ensuring consistency with HR reports and financial statements - Posting journal entries and accounting adjustments, including cash movements - Supporting the preparation of financial reports, audits and statutory requirements, in compliance with local and group accounting principles
**What You Need to Be Successful**
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented person, eager to learn and grow in the Finance area. You will be successful in this role if you have: - A background or initial experience in accounting (internship, audit firm, accounting firm or similar) - A good understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliation activities - Strong analytical skills and attention to detail - Very good Excel skills - A proactive mindset and the ability to work autonomously on assigned processes - Good communication skills and a collaborative approach Nice to have: - Exposure to SAP or other ERP systems - Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI
