About this vacancy

As a Firmware Engineer, you will be at the heart of developing embedded solutions, working on cutting-edge systems. If you are passionate about low-level development, real-time systems, and turning complex specifications into robust firmware, this is your opportunity to make a tangible impact in an innovative environment.

- Analyse technical requirements and functional specifications for new embedded and mechatronic devices.
- Design, develop, and test embedded firmware in C for microcontroller platforms.
- Develop and integrate wired communication interfaces and connectivity functions.
- Perform firmware debugging, troubleshooting, optimisation, laboratory testing, and validation, working closely with Hardware, Electronics, and Connectivity teams and maintaining the related technical documentation.

What we expect from you

- Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in embedded firmware development.
- Strong programming skills in C and C++ and hands-on experience with microcontrollers.
- Good knowledge of real-time embedded-system architectures.
- Experience with firmware debugging, troubleshooting, optimisation, testing, and validation.
- Ability to use laboratory instruments for testing and troubleshooting activities.
- Experience with actuator control, closed-loop control systems, and communication interfaces is preferred.
- Knowledge of wireless connectivity and IoT integration is considered a plus.




- Clear and structured communication, cross-functional collaboration, analytical thinking, prioritisation, and results orientation.
- Ability to work autonomously, take ownership, and operate effectively in an innovative, fast-evolving environment.
- Good command of Italian and English language.
- Willingness to travel and relocate will be considered a plus.
- Strong motivation to embrace TMC’s Employeneurship model.

What you can expect from us

The position offers a permanent employment contract, and the base gross annual salary (Gross Annual Salary – RAL) will be no less than €35.000, in line with the National Collective Bargaining Agreement (CCNL) for Commerce – Tertiary, Distribution and Services.

TMC is committed to offering a competitive compensation package. At the end of the recruitment process, after assessing the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications, the company may offer a final gross annual salary higher than the amount stated above.

In line with our business model, the final compensation package also includes a project profit-sharing component, an individual annual learning and development budget of €4,000 net, and an annual welfare allowance. Further details will be provided during the recruitment process, in accordance with the company's applicable policies.
