Overview: Maintenance Mechanical Technician Location: Casalpusterlengo (Shift-Based Role) Morgan Advanced Materials has been solving complex engineering challenges since ****.

The Role As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be part of the maintenance team, supporting the day-to-day operation of the plant.
Reporting to the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and help improve reliability across the site.
You'll work closely with colleagues on shift, ensuring machinery is maintained, repaired, and ready to perform when it's needed most.
Responsibilities: What You'll Do - Carry out routine, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment - Diagnose mechanical faults and identify the root cause of failures - Dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery and components - Organise maintenance activities efficiently, including selecting and checking spare parts - Propose practical improvement solutions and preventative measures to reduce downtime - Complete maintenance records accurately using Maximo CMMS, including hours worked, parts used, and technical notes - Support larger maintenance activities where multiple technicians are required - Maintain tools, workshop equipment, and maintenance areas in good order - Follow all site safety procedures, regulations, and safe working practices - Use and store PPE correctly at all times Qualifications:
About You / What You'll Bring - Proven experience in a mechanical maintenance role within an industrial or manufacturing environment - Strong hands-on mechanical skills with the ability to diagnose and repair equipment faults - Experience using maintenance tools and workshop machinery safely and effectively - Confidence reading and interpreting mechanical drawings - Good problem-solving skills and a practical, methodical approach to maintenance - Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and diagrams - Basic welding capability - Experience working with CMMS platforms such as Maximo would be beneficial - Mechanical qualification or degree is highly valued - A team-focused attitude and willingness to support colleagues when needed - Comfortable working shifts and participating in an on-call rota once fully trained What You'll Get - Permanent opportunity with a well-established international manufacturer - Structured training and development to build your technical knowledge and site expertise - Shift-based working pattern: - 06:*****:*******:*****:00 - Opportunity to join the on-call rotation once trained and operating independently - Exposure to a diverse range of industrial equipment and maintenance challenges - A workplace that takes safety seriously and encourages continuous improvement Interested?
