Freelance Opportunity | Senior SAP FI Consultant (Team Leader Finance) | Italy

Location: Milan, Italy (Client Site for Business Travel)

Work Model: Hybrid (Mostly Remote + Approximately 20% Travel(3-4 days/month)

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP FI Consultant to join a high-profile international project. This role is ideal for a professional with strong expertise in SAP Financial Accounting (SAP FI), deep knowledge of Italian fiscal and accounting regulations, and proven experience leading multinational teams and managing key client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Lead SAP FI implementation and support projects in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments

✅ Act as the primary trusted advisor and key point of contact for the client

✅ Ensure high-quality project delivery across all project lifecycle phases

✅ Coordinate Italian and international consulting teams

✅ Manage issue resolution, stakeholder communication, and project governance

✅ Support business users, management, and project stakeholders with effective solutions





Required Skills & Experience

✔ Strong hands-on experience with SAP FI implementations and support projects

✔ In-depth knowledge of Italian accounting and tax regulations, including:

- VAT (IVA)
- Statutory Financial Statements
- Mandatory Reporting
- Electronic Invoicing (Fatturazione Elettronica)
- Country-specific compliance requirements

✔ Strong functional expertise combined with the ability to coordinate technical developments and integrations

✔ Proven experience leading Finance teams and managing complex project environments

✔ Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

✔ Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver results in challenging environments

✔ Availability for travel within Italy and internationally when required
