/b /p pTrinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate and motivated bMedical Assistant /b to support our providers in delivering exceptional patient care.
In this role, you'll work directly with patients, assist with clinical procedures, support care coordination, and help create a positive healthcare experience every day.
/p pbWhat You'll Do: /b /p ul liWelcome and prepare patients for appointments.
/li liCollect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
/li liAssist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
/li liAdminister medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
/li liCommunicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
/li liProvide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
/li liCoordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
/li liSupport quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
/li /ul pbGeneral Requirements: /b /p pEDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED.
Successful completion of accredited/approved: /p ul liMA program and MA Externship; /li liMA Internship; /li liEmergency Medical Technician (EMT) program; /li liParamedic program; or /li liCertified Athletic Trainer.
/li /ul pIf credentialed, maintains current MA Re-Certification CEUs.
/p pCREDENTIALS/LICENSURE: /p pMA-Non-Credentialed I: MA eligible to attain Medical Assistant Certification is desired, or EMT with current/active license in the State of Michigan, or Paramedic following successful completion of the National Registry Paramedic Exam and/or holds a current/active license in the State of Michigan.
Valid CPR certification.
/p pMA-Credentialed I: Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following certifying agencies:
/p ul liAmerican Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) /li liAmerican Medical Technologists (RMA) /li liNational Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) /li liNational Healthcareer Association (CCMA) /li liNational Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA) /li liAmerican Medical Certification Association (CMAC) /li /ul pMINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 0-1 year previous clinical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
In absence of completed MA Program/Externship/Internship, must have 2+ years' clinical experience providing clinical support in community-based clinic and be subject to standardized testing and evaluation of clinical skills.
